Château Belle-Vue 2019
Château Belle-Vue is located in the surroundings of Macau, very close to many of Medoc’s Grands Crus Classés, on deep rough gravely soil.
Château Belle-Vue 2018’s blend becomes the first vintage gathering the 5 most iconic Medoc’s grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon (48%), Merlot (30%), Petit verdot (20%), Cabernet franc (1%) and Carménère (1%)
The Château Belle-Vue 2018 offers a superb expression of fruit with great freshness. The signature grape variety of the property, Petit Verdot, brings its unique personality to this vintage. A fantastic choice from Haut-Médoc from an excellent vintage. Aging is projected to run 14 months in 30% new, 30% one-year-old, and 20% two-year-old barrels, and the wine has 14% alcohol. Deep garnet-purple colored, it sings of chocolate-covered cherries, fresh red and black currants, and black raspberry scents with hints of wild sage, pencil lead, and lavender. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has bags of freshness and energy with a chewy texture and mineral-tinged finish.
